FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
1. What should my child wear to gymnastics?
Your child may come in a leotard if she feels comfortable in one. If not, we ask that she/he dresses comfortably in
leggings, sweats, or shorts, with a tank or tee that is NOT loose fitting or baggy. Socks and shoes will be removed,
no tights please! (Unless they are footless). We also sell leotards and clothing at North Shore Gymnastics.
Also, please make sure that all children enter the gym with their hair tied back, no hanging jewelry or bracelets, and NO GUM!

2. How are the groups separated?
Groups are separated based on age and ability. On the first day of a new semester, your child will be evaluated and placed

We host an annual parent day in June where students can showcase the skills they have been working on during the year.
Parents are welcome to watch and can bring cameras and video. Students will be presented with medals at the end.

6. Do the kids at this gym compete?
We are a non competitive gym. Because we do not compete, we can focus our time on really developing relationships with our
students in order to help them be the best gymnast they can be. There is less competition between students and lots of fun to
be had. With that said, our students learn the fundamentals of gymnastics all the way up to high level skills.
